Miss Greta Bell
Rebecca Jackson Mendoza is a seasoned performer. Her father being a jazz pianist/arranger and mother a dancer, Rebecca was highly exposed to many different genres in the arts. She started singing jazz professionally with her father at the early age of 15 then moved into soul/r&b, blues and funk.
Also having studied acting and dance, Rebecca felt the need to broaden her horizons. She auditioned for Australia's original production of Miss Saigon and was accepted, which then led to an international career in musical theatre. Rebecca was invited to join the German production of Miss Saigon, David Atkins Hair, Showboat, the Australian and Japanese tour of Queen's musical We Will Rock You and most recently performed the role of "Galadriel" in the original stage play/musical production of Lord of the Rings in Toronto, Canada where she was nominated for a Dora award.
Rebecca wanted to experience TV and film and feels extremely fortunate to have been chosen by the infamous director George Lucas to play the role "Queen of Alderon" in STAR WARS 111 Return of the Sith.
Rebecca also was a part of the Australian pop group "Jackson Mendoza" a duo sister act with sister Natalie signed to EMI/VIRGIN recording the hit singles "Venus or Mars" and "Ordinary girl".
Covering a broad spectrum in her industry and having a deep appreciation to have lived in many different corners of the world, Rebecca felt it was time to come home and had a strong yearning to return to her roots personally and professionally. She is now performing in many different venues in Melbourne such as The Commune and Bennett's Lane.
Rebecca would like to dedicate her performances to her family for their continuous love and support, her partner Jimmy... ise ta panta ya mena agapi mou!, his angel Billie and Rebecca's daughter Phoenix... always x
